I have not made any kind of creative music for three and half months (unless you count a brief run through of "Princess Royal" at the last Blackheath Morris outing)
The fact that this coincides with the arrival of two children is no coincidence. Playing the melodeon is out - played when the kids are around results in chaos, because they both (understandably) want to have a go, so I give J my extra toy melodeon, and a hideous racket ensues. Played after the kids have gone to bed, and it'll wake them up - it's very loud. My only hope for the next few years is the odd session in a pub, or after a Blackheath do. This pretty much applies to any other instrument too.
The only hope is in computer music. I've been thinking about working on a large-scale piece for a while, and I'll start by spending 30 minutes every day honing down and editing samples for this purpose.
To get me back into the swing of things I'm currently re-jigging some material that
ednawatley has sent me. Results to posted up soon.
Mind you, I also have a new front garden gate put up too, and I need to do some serious gardening...
...and there's still that idea of making an electric melodeon....
...and I could always do with more sleep, even
spoombung was noticing the "drastic effects of sleep deprivation" on me last Tuesday.

But never mind all that, look at these amazing photos of last night's storm over Blackheath, that the ever vigilant Blackheath Bugle has unearthed-
