Is it the actual physical record you want, or the music that's on it regardless of format? If it's the latter, I suppose you could get in touch with the ebay seller, asking them to pass your details on to the buyer, requesting that they give you a copy (I think you can rip LPs to MP3s these days). I know it's convoluted but it might just work. I'm American; we stop at nothing, even absurdity, to get what we want.

Ah, I thought so - you went into the auction thinking "this should really be costing me 20p down at my local charity shop" hence it was doomed from the start, Richard. Good luck finding it through your contacts, though. I'm sure you'll get lucky... and I'll keep an eye out now I know what it looks like!
