On The Moon
I didn't get that Frock LP I wanted - it went for £137.

I'll have to try elsewhere for this little bit of Blackheath Morris history...

Is it the actual physical record you want, or the music that's on it regardless of format? If it's the latter, I suppose you could get in touch with the ebay seller, asking them to pass your details on to the buyer, requesting that they give you a copy (I think you can rip LPs to MP3s these days). I know it's convoluted but it might just work. I'm American; we stop at nothing, even absurdity, to get what we want.

If it's the former, of course you can disregard everything I've just said.

Well, it turns out a team-mate's brother has a copy - so I'm hoping to be able to make a copy soon...

What price did you bid to?

I went up to £38. The annoying thing is I hear of copies of this being found in South London charity shops.

And I want it because of the connection to my morris team, not because it's rare!

Ah, I thought so - you went into the auction thinking "this should really be costing me 20p down at my local charity shop" hence it was doomed from the start, Richard. Good luck finding it through your contacts, though. I'm sure you'll get lucky... and I'll keep an eye out now I know what it looks like!

There were a couple of early Residents 7"s on last week, one of which went for something like £500 ! The other was £200+.
